This weekend I'm in Lynn, MA (not exactly a destination spot) cat-sitting for Sacha while he's out of town.
The cat:
Yea, it doesn't look comfortable to me either, but apparently he enjoys it.
It's kind of isolated out here (pretty much the only thing close is a grocery store and some shady characters), so I have a lot of time on my hands for the next couple of days. One thing I'll be working on is this:
The aforementioned yarn for Toni's socks (Socks that Rock in Little Bunny Foo Foo). I'm going to try and get them done in time for her birthday (which is in like 3 weeks) so that'll be a bit of a challenge given my lack of attention span.
The progression of the blanket is as follows. Thursday night, it looked like this:
Right now, it looks like this:
Looks sort of finished, right? Yea, I haven't sewn the pieces together yet, which was my plan for the weekend, but I forgot to bring my notes along to try and figure out the best way to go about this. I mean, I know how to seam and everything, but I want to figure out how to make the seam flat since this is a blanket and you will be able to see both sides of it at some point. So, I think this will have to wait until I get home tomorrow night. Alas.
I did not run out of yarn, which is a good thing. And with that, I think you'll agree it's about time I start working on some socks!
Oh, and because I know you were concerned, UPS did finally deliver my DVD, so last night I got to watch Transformers. I love that movie!
