Cell Phone Lament

Anyone who talks to me on a regular basis knows that one of the things I like to complain about the most is the craptacularness of my cell phone. Since February I've pretty much just been biding time until December when I could get a better rebate and replace it.

Turns out my phone had other plans.

It has all but stopped holding a charge for longer than three hours, on Sunday I was trying to use it and it froze completely (not the first time that's happened) and today buttons started FALLING OFF. As in, if my nails break (which is always an imminent probability) I will not really be able to push the menu button, which is kind of a problem.

Today it became inescapably clear that it's time for a new phone. I can't hold out any longer. So I bit the bullet and ordered my replacement phone, which I hope to have by the end of the week.

On the plus side, my new phone is the kind that slides open to show a full keyboard which will make texting that much easier. I'll take the silver lining wherever I can get it.

nice. remember when i had to call you while the lady was fixing my phone? and tom and i were in the parking lot of a restaurant for our anniversary? those cell phone companies..... classic.
