coming attractions

Due to the sad lack of new Grey's Anatomy, I have decided to post a list of all the movies scheduled to come out from today forward in 2009 that I'm excited for, in order of release date (as it stands right now):

Watchmen - 3/6/09  No, I never read the comic graphic novel.  It doesn't matter, it still looks sweet.

Race to Witch Mountain - 3/13/09 The Rock Dwayne Johnson is a very funny guy.  He's underrated from a comedy standpoint.  This will be an entertaining movie.  I believe it.

Duplicity - 3/20/09  I will still watch Julia Roberts in pretty much anything.  Except Mary Shelly or whatever that one was called.

The Accidental Husband - 3/27/09 I'm not sure about this one exactly, but I WANT to like it.  I really do.

Monsters vs. Aliens - also 3/27/09 When I first saw the title I thought this was dumb, but then I saw the trailer and now I'm completely on board.

17 Again - 4/17/09 Also known as Big 2: In Reverse

Earth - 4/22/09 I saw a trailer for this at a movie recently and I was riveted.

Star Trek - 5/8/09 I'll probably see every movie that comes out in May  - X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Angels and Demons (sure to be as big a disappointment as that other one, even if Ewan MacGregor is in it), Night at the Museum 2, Terminator Salvation, even Hannah Montana.  Yea, I said it

Land of the Lost - 6/5/09 Please, please be as funny as the trailer promises.  If I've already seen all the best jokes I'm going to be really disappointed.

The Proposal - 6/19/09 I'm sure this will be pretty generic romantic comedy fare, but what can I say?  I like Sandra Bullock.  And Ryan Reynolds.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen - 6/26/09 Fingers crossed that Shia LeBoeuf hasn't quite reached giant tool status in this one (but I'm afraid that's a false hope)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 7/17/09 Also holding out a probably false hope that they will stop totally jacking with the story and return to the relative glory of the first two movies.  Of course, without Richard Harris this is an automatic fail situation.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra - 8/7/09 The day I found out this movie was coming out was a good day.  A very good day.

And from there it gets a little cagey, but I think it's because release dates just aren't set quite yet.  Isn't the second Twilight movie supposed to come out this year?  Oh well, you can rest assured that I'll be on top of it once they make that announcement, because really I'm a 16 year old girl.  It's cool.  No seriously, yesterday at work someone told me with my hair down I look 22 and with my hair up I look 16.  I said 'thank you' when really I was thinking 'wow you're full of crap.'

And thanks to everyone who sent me recipe suggestions in the last few days!  They were great and I'm getting a big grocery delivery tomorrow morning full of things to make all these tasty foods!

Have a great weekend!
