The road trip was canceled, but the bunny is doing much better. Friday night we had a little fashion show because I found my bridesmaid dress for the wedding in July. It was determined that while the style of dress is perfect, the specific dress that I had was too big (I ordered it online) and would need to be returned for a smaller size (and who hates that?). So no, I don't have any pictures for you. Sorry.
Saturday morning I woke up, did my exchange over the phone, packaged up the dress to be returned, and took a taxi to my local post office. A post office branch that is so small it does not have a package dropoff so I had to wait in a very long line in order to simply hand over the package because postage was prepaid. Anyway, it was so lovely outside I walked over to CVS, sauntered on over to the bank, and decided to take a leisurely stroll back to my apartment (that's quite a productive Saturday for me). I then headed downtown with Toni to meet Alisa and do some shopping along Newbury Street (where there were major sales going on, though I'm sorry to tell you the pair of gorgeous shoes I wanted to purchase at French Connection had a deathtrap heel so I couldn't bring myself to do it even though they were only $40).
Sunday morning, I got up and went to breakfast (my usual Sunday routine these days) and noticed that it was a bit chillier. On my way back to my apartment, it was starting to lightly snow, so I got back, put my loungy pants on and stayed in for the rest of the day, watching movies and knitting.
And then there was this morning. As soon as I got to my front door I wanted to turn back around and crawl back into bed. I hiked through my unshoveled walk and onto the street (the snow measured in at lower calf level, a very precise unit of measurement) to make it to the bus. The commute from there wasn't too bad because many, many people have a snow day today, so here I am, wishing I was still at home and thinking it's crappy that March doesn't mean "spring" automatically.
It's so disheartening when on Saturday you're spending a large portion of your day outside because of the gorgeous sunshine, and then Monday morning you're trudging through approximately 8 inches of snow to get to the bus stop.
The good news is that it's March so out of the country friends are back in the country! And not a moment too soon!
